About the Journal

Ases International Journal of Culture, Art and Literature (ASES JCAL) is an international, peer-reviewed, indexed, and open-access journal that publishes original research articles contributing to the development of culture, art, and literature. The publication languages are all dialects of Turkish, English, and Russian. It started its publication in 2022 and is published twice a year, in June and December.

The aim of the journal is to support scientific studies in the fields of culture, art, and literature, to bring qualified research in these areas to the academic community, and to promote international knowledge sharing. The journal includes both theoretical and applied studies.

The articles published cover a wide range of topics including cultural theories, cultural studies, methodology, political culture, economic culture, entertainment culture, food culture, belief and culture, health and culture, folklore, communication and culture, urbanization policy, entrepreneurship culture, tourism and cultural tourism; art studies, painting and sculpture, architecture, music culture, decorative arts, calligraphy, fashion, design, city, urbanization and urban design; literary studies, folk literature, classical Turkish literature, modern Turkish literature, and linguistic studies.

In addition, other original studies from disciplines related to culture, art, and literature are also within the scope of the journal. Manuscripts outside the stated scope or not complying with the writing rules may be rejected without peer review by the editor or editorial board.

Our journal applies a double-blind peer review process for submitted manuscripts. Articles that pass the editorial evaluation are reviewed by two independent referees, and the identities of both authors and referees are kept confidential. The average evaluation period is 30 days.

ASES JCAL provides open access under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. All published content is freely accessible without any fee and can be used with appropriate attribution for non-commercial purposes.

Furthermore, our journal is archived through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to ensure the long-term preservation of published content.

ASES JCAL addresses researchers, academics, graduate students, artists, linguists, and practitioners working in the fields of culture, art, and literature.
